Your tuning purchase from Shrader will include a digital tune file designed for use with premium gasoline. Our performance tune is designed for 91-93 octane. NOTE: If you only have 91 octane available, please let us know so we can make a minor adjustment.

Bronco tunes are designed for an SCT BDX Programmer. If you do not already have a BDX device, it is required to get the tune into the vehicle. We offer that as an add-on option to purchase the device but if you have your own, we will just send you a digital file via email or through the SCT cloud for updating over WiFi. We do also offer HP Tuners direct flash option but we must have your Bronco in person at our Gastonia NC location to do so. Inquire if you prefer this option.

BRONCO Tuning can also be performed with the vehicle and SCT device in person directly at our Gastonia NC storefront if you’re not comfortable using the programmer device. This allows us to inspect and test the vehicle to ensure everything is working as intended once its loaded.

All tuning is developed in-house by Shrader Performance using SCT or HP Tuners software.

PERFORMANCE
We have done extensive research on our Dynojet dynamometer to come up with the most power and torque, without compromising or risking the health of the engine. Many Ford owners search out the highest possible hp gains for bragging rights, BUT remember this:
1.) Dyno number comparisons can be manipulated based on temperatures, tire pressures, fuel quality, etc. We give an apples to apples compare of Stock vs. 93 Tuning.
2.) Larger gains from other tuners may come with more stress on the engine due to increased boost pressure, leaner fuel mixtures, and other stress factors.

Our tunes are carefully designed to give you a boost in power and torque without over-stressing the engine beyond its capabilities.

If you are seeing hp gains that seem too good to be true, they might just be. This is only a 2.7L engine after all.

Making the most power is also directly related to your fuel octane quality. Pump gas can have varying octane levels depending on where you purchase. We do not quote exact dyno hp and tq numbers because it literally changes with each vehicle, based on fuel quality, wheel density, tire size, and any modifications.

Emissions, Special Note: Due to strict EPA laws and regulations, if you have deleted cats or other emissions components our tune will not turn out your Check Engine Light. However the performance aspect of our tune will not be affected. We advise strongly to comply with EPA laws. And on a personal note, deleting your cats doesn’t add any power, and makes your car smell like a trash can. Keep the cats.

There are NO returns allowed on our Digital tune files. By the nature of digital files, you cannot return a file, and this is to prevent malicious use of our tunes, and then trying to recapture the funds. We will work with you to resolve any issues you may have, but returns are not an option for custom tunes. SCT Programmers are ONLY returnable if you have not flashed the vehicle. Once it has been used on a vehicle, it will no longer show a flash counter of Zero, and returns will not be allowed.
